Clay Pots is a community center in the Mount Clare neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore that is focused on education, workforce development, wellness, harm reduction, and community building. Clay Pots offers programming in these areas to help our community grow holistically. Volunteer opportunities include the chance to help support our GED and ABE students on their education journey through consistent weekly tutoring sessions, engaging with our clients during our bi-weekly Coffeehouse, baking for special events, community clean ups, large events like our Community Day, and much more. Volunteers needed for the upcoming season of the Baltimore Ravens Home Games. Twenty-five volunteers are needed for the concession stand at M&T Bank Stadium. You must wear black shirt, black pants, and slip resistant black shoes. You must have your I.D. and you must be 18 years and over. You must have a driver’s license and a positive attitude. The Baltimore Family Search Center staff provides one-on-one help to visitors, assisting them in discovering their family history. They guide patrons in creating FamilySearch accounts, navigating the website, utilizing center resources, and accessing premium genealogy websites. They seek to facilitate meaningful family discovery experiences for patrons. Staff do not need to be experts in family history research. They should be: 1. Able to communicate well with others. 2. Comfortable using computers, printers, canners, and phone apps. 3. Reasonably familiar with FamilySearch.org and its mobile apps. 4. Friendly, patient, and respectful at all times toward patrons and other staff. On September 11, 2026, 50,000 volunteers will pack 20 million meals for families facing hunger in 50+ cities. Bring your group or sign up as an individual. Support Staff Shifts – September 11, 2026 – Volunteer roles include: 1. Table Captain (leading meal packing lines) 2. Heavy Lifter/Runner (stock stations and keeping operations moving), and 3. Guest Services (welcoming and assisting volunteers). To help ensure a safe, smooth and successful event, the 9.11 Day team will assign volunteer roles based on event needs, physical abilities, and where support is needed most. The Commitment: Optional one-hour training session via Zoom, scheduled a week or two before the event. Approximately 4.5 hour to cover your selected shift.

Blood Cancer United hosts a yearly community event called “Light the Night.” Patients, families, and supporters come together to bring light to the darkness of cancer with lanterns we hold to the sky in memory of those no longer with us and those battling today. “Light the Night” event will be held on Friday, October 9th at 1101 Russell Street (M&T Bank Stadium), Baltimore, Maryland 21230. There will be 2 shifts for this event: Shift 1 – 12:30pm – 5:30pm – Set up, make lanterns, set up tables, kid zone, and more. Shift 2 – 5:00pm – 10:00pm – Event volunteer, pass out lanterns, help cheer on walkers at the starting line, and more.
