March 13: UMBrella Women’s History Month Symposium
February 12, 2025
The UMBrella Group is thrilled to announce the sixth annual Women's History Month Symposium, "Championing Change: The Role of Allies in Women's Advancement," which will be held fully in person March 13 at the SMC Campus Center.
Join us for a dynamic and inspiring day dedicated to exploring how allyship fosters women’s advancement across personal and professional landscapes. This year’s event also marks a special milestone —UMBrella’s 10th anniversary!
Begin the day with a motivational morning keynote address by Randi Braun, MA, founder/CEO of Something Major and Wall Street Journal best-selling author of “Something Major: The New Playbook for Women at Work.” Choose your morning breakout workshop to gain actionable insights and tools for allyship and empowerment. Hear from a thought leader and change-maker in the Afternoon Keynote: A Fireside Chat with Gloria Blackwell, MA, CEO, American Association of University Women. Reset and recharge with curated wellness activities and end the day connecting and celebrating with colleagues and friends at the closing reception.
UMBrella will also host a donation drive to help stock the kitchen shelves at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center, a day resource center for women and children experiencing homelessness in Baltimore. Your donations of nonperishable food items such as canned goods (vegetables, chicken or tuna, beans, soup, fruit), pasta, and rice will help the center serve three meals a day, every day, to women and children in need. Donations will be accepted on event day at SMC Campus Center.
Registration slots have been filled, and the waitlist is now available. Visit the UMBrella website for details and to sign up for the waitlist.
