Washington Middle School for the underserved population of Baltimore. For the 35th annual Project Feast event, we are sponsored by the Medical Alumni Association (MAA) and University Student Government Association (USGA). Here’s how we could use your help: Volunteer: Help spread the word about this event, bake turkeys before Thanksgiving, or volunteer serving the day of the event! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant street trees in the Morrell Park neighborhood. Volunteers new to planting trees and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend. Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, and we recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and getting dirty. Hats, sunblock, and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We ask volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce waste. We provide work gloves, hand tools, and snacks but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. Our tree plantings are best suited for youths in middle school or above.

Community meal occur quarterly and alternate between lunch and dinner. Registration is required to volunteer for community meals. Volunteers are needed to support with set up, food serving, greeting, sign in, and cleaning up after the meal. The time commitment is two hours. Please note that due to capacity this opportunity is limited to individual sign-ups. Student, staff, and community groups interested in volunteering should contact the OCE directly to learn more about group volunteering opportunities. - Feb 42:00 PMThe Transit Riders Rally for Better Transit NOW!oin fellow transit riders and supporters at the Maryland State Capitol as we ask elected officials to fund frequent & reliable bus and rail service in the Baltimore area. Bring friends & family – especially if they use MTA transit for work, school, health care, shopping, or recreation. Even if you don’t currently take transit but know it has to be better, please join us on February 4. Elected officials need to see your presence and hear our voices! Speakers will include MTA riders, transit workers, and elected officials. Free buses to Annapolis will leave from multiple locations in Baltimore. Stay tuned for more details! Following the rally, participants will meet with their elected representatives and staff. More about this after you register.
