Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Baltimore! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant street trees in the Morrell Park neighborhood. Volunteers new to planting trees and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend. Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, and we recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and getting dirty. Hats, sunblock, and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We ask volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce waste. We provide work gloves, hand tools, and snacks but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. Our tree plantings are best suited for youths in middle school or above.

Join our friends from St. Peter’s Adult Learning Center for a 45-minute loop around the neighborhood. Community Walk takes place rain or shine. A walk will be canceled because of extreme heat and cold alerts. Cancellations and updates are promptly shared through CommunityPass and social media. We encourage neighbors to call ahead to confirm if a Community Walk is scheduled for that day. For questions, call 410-706-5522.

All proceeds from the store are donated to local organizations that support youth initiatives in Southwest Baltimore. So not only does your shopping help your family, but it also helps your community.It takes several volunteers each day of the week of Christmas Store to make this event happen. From, pricing toys, set up, helping shoppers and running the cash register, there are various positions available for various skill levels and ages. Consider donating your time and volunteers! Volunteers can register for various jobs at different times!

$5 5K is back! We are excited to welcome you back to one of BCRP’s favorite event series, and let you know that this year, it looks a little different. 2024 will see a modified $5 5K series. We will kick-off in October, there will be only 3 races this season, and they will all be hosted by BCRP. This year’s event will once again bring you a quality, affordable race experience. Please be ready to grab your family and enjoy this race series at your own pace! The B&O Railroad Museum is looking for volunteers to help with our annual, super fun, super festive event, The Polar Express! The Polar Express event is based on the Warner Brother’s popular animated children’s movie, The Polar Express. The event includes a live performance of The Polar Express, a magical holiday train ride, a trip to the North Pole, and beloved characters from the movie such as the Hobo and Hero Boy. Volunteers for this event help make it all happen – from the cozy and exciting holiday atmosphere to the warm and friendly visitor assistance. Come help make this holiday tradition memorable and magical for families and children. Times may vary depending on selected day.
