    UMB President Jay A. Perman, MD, appeared on a panel moderated by Laurie E. Locascio, PhD, vice president for research at UMCP, during the 2018 Maryland Technology Transfer Summit held April 20 at US NIST in Gaithersburg, Md. Also on the panel: Christy Wyskiel, MBA, senior advisor to the president of JHU; Sanjay Rai, PhD, senior vice president for academic affairs, Montgomery College; and John M. Wasilisin, president & COO of TEDCO. Gov. Larry Hogan gave the keynote address at the summit, which was attended by Sen. Benjamin Cardin and Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland and by Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill and Deputy Secretary Benjamin Wu, JD.
