Virtual Face to Face with President Bruce Jarrell - October 10th, 2021

Wed Oct 13, 2021
On July 1, 2021, Diane Forbes Berthoud, PhD, MA, joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) as its first chief equity, diversity, and inclusion officer and vice president (CEDIO/VP). As CEDIO/VP, she reports directly to UMB's president and works to steward the University's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), catalyze the institutional change necessary for deepening and strengthening that commitment, and design and put into operation a transparent accountability framework to measure and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of UMB's EDI initiatives at every level of the institution. Forbes Berthoud comes to us with extensive experience in higher education, having served most recently at the University of California, San Diego, as the associate vice chancellor for EDI. She plans to work closely with senior University officials and the entire UMB community to develop a strategic framework that will leverage current efforts and create a sustainable infrastructure that advances EDI at UMB. Join Virtual Face to Face on Oct. 7 to hear from Forbes Berthoud, and bring your questions.GUEST:Diane Forbes Berthoud, PhD, MA, chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer and vice president, UMB
