On June 16, 2021 UMB and the Community Engagement Center recognized Juneteenth with a free grab-and-go celebration with food, giveaways, and music!Juneteenth celebrates the ending of slavery in the United States two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It was designated an official federal holiday on June 17, 2021.
