Mobile Integrated Health - Community Paramedicine

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) held a news briefing Feb. 5, 2018, to launch the Mobile Integrated Health-Community Paramedicine (MIH-CP) program in partnership with the City of Baltimore, the Baltimore City Fire Department, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Speakers included Mayor Catherine E. Pugh; Fire Chief Niles Ford, PhD; U.S. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, JD '76; UMMC President & CEO Mohan Suntha, MD, MBA; UMB President Jay A. Perman, MD, and David Marcozzi, MD, MHS-CL, FACEP, assistant chief medical officer for acute care services at UMMC and associate professor, University of Maryland School of Medicine. A grant from the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission funds the program.
