On July 8, middle school students from Southwest Baltimore had the unique opportunity to "speed network" with presidents of several universities about their academic journeys and their futures in higher education. Half of the participating middle school students are part if the University of Maryland, Baltimore CURE Scholars Program and the others are from Lakeland Elementary/Middle School which partners with the University of Maryland Baltimore County to improve college readiness among students. The students were able to discuss their career aspirations, college campus life, financial aid options, and much more with the university presidents in small groups.
