The University of Maryland School of Law invited members of the UMB community to bring a lunch on Dec. 6 and enjoy the choral selections of the Institute of Notre Dame Select Choir under the direction of Daniel C. Meyer, vocal and instrumental music instructor. The program included an array of holiday pieces, such as “Ave Maria,” Leonard Bernstein’s “Yigdal,” and the gospel song, “He Never Failed Me Yet.” Among the soloists were Frances Philippe-Auguste, Destiny Bill, and Adia Hadley. All classes from 9th to 12th grades were represented by the 18 members of the choir from IND, a college preparatory school for young women founded 170 years ago by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Lunch Under the Pipes is held several times during fall and spring semesters in historic Westminster Hall by UM Carey Law.
