UMB's Police Activities League (PAL) has teamed up with the Black Cherry Puppet Theater to put on a puppet show. Facilitated by the UMB Community Engagement Center, the children worked alongside their police officer mentors during a 10-week puppeteering workshop led by Michael Lamason, the executive director of the Black Cherry Puppet Theater. The children read scripts, created storyboards, painted a set, and created their very own puppets for a performance of "How Coyote Got His Song." At the end of the workshop, the children and police officers performed for a full house at the Black Cherry Puppet Theater.
